TriTone Digital Releases Intel-based CPU Optimizations for Mac!
February, 2008

TriTone Digital is excited to announce a set of new releases for Mac.

We have updated all of our plugins with Intel-specific CPU optimizations! The gains are significant, so enjoy some extra horsepower.

These new releases make use of serial number based authorization. If you have not received your serials numbers during a previous update, just contact us using the Support Request Form and let us know. Please make sure to include the name and email used to purchase your plugins, as well as a list of which plugins you own.

Please allow 7 days for us to send you your serial numbers. This means it's best not to update to these latest versions until you have received your serials, or can afford to spend a few days with your TriTone plugins.

Please Note: please update all of your plugins to these new optimized versions at one time; mixing these new optimized versions with previous versions may cause instability.

TriTone Digital Releases Two New Plugins for Windows: ClassicTone-56 and PulTone-FL!
October, 2007

We are very pleased to release two new plugins for Windows ClassicTone-56 and PulTone-FL!

ClassicTone-56 is a true-to-the-original recreation of one of the best sounding graphic EQs ever made.   These graphic EQs are found in consoles and lunch boxes around the world and are prized for their punchiness and girth.

ClassicTone-56 features 10 bands.   From low to high the bands are: 31 Hz, 63 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 4 kHz, 8 kHz and 16 kHz.   All bands are capable of 12 dB of boost or cut.

PulTone-FL is a recreation of a super-sweet passive program filter set.   This studio classic is one of the best ways to tweak and shape tracks to create space in a mix or to create limited frequency range effects like the classic “telephone” vocal.   These are simply the smoothest filters for carving your tracks into new and unique shapes!

PulTone-FL features two filter bands, one low-cut and one hi-cut.   The frequencies for the low-cut are 50 Hz, 80 Hz, 100 Hz, 150 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 750 Hz, 1 kHz, 1.5 kHz and 2 kHz. The frequencies for the hi-cut are 1.5 kHz, 2 kHz, 3 kHz, 4 kHz, 5 kHz, 6 kHz, 8 kHz, 10 kHz, 12 kHz and 15 kHz.

As if the classic unit wasn't cool enough, using a little TriTone Digital magic, we have expanded its abilities in PulTone-FL to allow each band to move between "cut" and "expand" modes. Just use the slider below each band to move between the far left position (full cut, true to the original) and the far right positions (full expand, the reverse curve of the full cut).

This unique enhancement allows PulTone-FL to act as both a super-smooth vintage filter or a uniquely silky boost EQ …or any pointin-between!

As always, we have made every effort to both preserve the unique character of these amazing EQs and to expand our plugins beyond the abilities of the originals.   All of the sweetness and smooth curves and that we love about these analog program EQs are now finally available in the digital world!

You can demo either plugin by clicking on the its icon in the left navigation of this page and then selecting the Demos tab.

TriTone Digital Releases AngelTone for Windows!
April, 2007

We are very pleased to release our new mastering EQ for Windows: AngelTone!

AngelTone is a digital mastering EQ that utilizes state-of-the-art modeling to combine analog mastering EQ sweetness with digital precision and recall.

AngelTone features five bands.   Three bands are capable of full-range parametric operation. The two extreme bands feature both full-range peaking and shelving EQ modes. All parametric and peaking bands have access to the entire range of EQ frequencies available in AngelTone, allowing for unprecedented sculpting and precision.

AngelTone, like its mix-oriented brother HydraTone, allows for band-by-band selection of EQ algorithms.

This unique TriTone Digital concept allows you to use, for example, the color and charm of the "Massy" on the top end and the strength and heft of a "Sonny" on the bottom.

AngelTone features four classic EQ models. These algorithms are derived from the very best analog EQs used in mastering studios the world over.

"Milly" is a sweet but precise tube EQ.   "Sonny" is based on one of the oldest parametric EQ designs and has a tight solid-state low end that mastering engineers adore.   "Massy" is based on a modern beast of a tube EQ that is noted for its sweet sound and broad curves.   "Avy" is based on solid-state EQ favored for its clarity and openness.

We have made every effort to preserve the unique character of each EQ model.   All of the sweetness, character and idiosyncrasies that we love about these analog EQs are now finally available in the digital world!

You can demo AngelTone by clicking on the AngelTone icon in the left navigation of this page and then selecting the Demos tab.
